Kollywood star Dhanush's trend setting song 'Why this 'Kolaveri Di' has added another honour in the list. The Tamil-English track, sung by Dhanush, is the song of the year, according to CNN. This song is now featured in CNN International as the world's top song of 2011!
As per the CNN, many DJs of international repute are playing this song at the biggest parties and hottest venues all around the world. The song, which roughly translates as 'Why this murderous rage?' has racked up over 30 million views since its upload to Youtube on November 16,2011. The film track has also spawned many hundreds of imitations by people belonging to different languages, different races, different countries and even children! All these versions are uploaded in Youtube which are also super hits.
Composed by 18-year-old Anirudh Ravichander, the song with funny lyrics is sung in an unconventional manner by Dhanush himself and it will be a part of his next film '3', which is being directed by his wife Aishwayra, elder daughter of Rajinikanth. Shruthi Haasan is playing female lead role in this movie.
