Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet has been immortalised in wax after being given her own replica of waxwork model at top London attraction Madame Tussauds.
The ’Titanic’ actress whose lookalike is being exhibited alongside other British acting talents such as Dame Helen Mirren and actress Judi Dench, Femalefirst reported. Model-makers had spent months perfecting the figure of 36-year-old Winslet and the model has been dressed in the red cap-sleeve Elie Saab dress, which she wore to collect her prize at the Emmy Awards earlier this year.
"Guests from around the world voted for Kate Winslet in droves, she has clearly got wide reaching global appeal. She is an iconic actress of a generation; a true English Rose and we’re delighted to be creating a figure of her," said Liz Edwards, PR Manager at the tourist attraction.
Other stars to have waxworks at Madame Tussauds include Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, David Beckham and Brad Pitt.(PTI)
